Most of the migrants in the world, do not know the process of their local education system in the country that they settle in. This creates a problem for the society in the country in which they now live in.
This led Giovanny Cusme to create Cusme Charity to be the (Point of Contact) through ambassadors, to motivate and guide migrants to become professionals. Therefore education became the fundamental structure of Cusme Charity.
In 2013 while being part of the London Metropolitan University Student Council, he realises the importance for more Latin-American people to become professional and to represent their community in the UK as well as in the Volunteering, Work and the Education sector.
Since 2015, Giovanny Cusme has spoken at Cusme Charity conferences in the UK, (London, Manchester, Birmingham) to advise the Latin-American community, (Parents and Youth) by providing a structure in their education from Primary, Secondary and College in order to go into University. With the main focus on providing a clear outline of the different levels and meanings of University’s degrees, in order to enable them to excel (to contribute to the economy in the UK) and succeed in a professional career.
In 2017, Cusme Charity travelled to Latin America, starting with Ecuador, where Giovanny Cusme gave conferences in schools and local communities up and down the country. The conferences were mainly based on volunteering work to add to their CV, how learning English can help Ecuador’s economy grow in Latin America and the importance of their cultural identity. Similar conferences were given in Panamá.
Our UK Education Ambassadors are the (Point of Contact) giving free advice on their specific education field.
Some of our ambassadors will give conferences around the UK, by doing this they contribute to their community, gaining experiences where then they can transfer these skills to their professional job.
Our International Education Ambassadors are current University students that will serve as first (Point Of Contact) for potential students interested in studying abroad.
They serve as a resource to our current and prospective students.
The best way to represent your community is by being a Professional and help your local community by having a good job. By achieving this you will become a good role model for younger generations.
Motivation through creative arts, this is important as it gives you an understanding of your IDENTITY. This includes your national countries culture and traditions, this is encouraged so not to forget or not know where your roots come from.
Cusme Charity has attended and supported events which celebrate the Heritage of different Latin American countries through traditional dancing and food.
Becoming an ambassador and being part of something great, achieving something that makes a difference in your community is creating a Legacy to be proud of.
The founder of Cusme Charity, Giovanny Cusme says: “You must not and cannot forget your roots”. You must embrace both your LatinAmerica and British side.
Continue with the culture and traditions of your and your parents country.
Cusme Charity is working to build a heritage for the current and future generations of Latin Americans in the UK.
